Do you accept insurance?
I bill most PPO plans and Medicare.
I do not bill Medicaid (MediCal), nor HMO insurance.
Why do you offer a membership?
Most Functional Medicine Specialists don’t take insurance. Accepting insurance allows me to have a lower cost membership, as well as have your tests covered by the insurance.
Will I have to change my diet?
Sometimes. The diagnosis will tell us what needs to be done. Any illness that is a lifestyle issue will be treated with lifestyle changes. There is no single program for everyone.
What if I move or if I do not live in Santa Barbara?
I have patients all over the world. We communicate by phone, text, email, ZOOM, or Facetime. I do like to see each patient at least once in the office, but that isn’t always possible.
